Focused, High-Impact Pediatric Therapy to Help Your Child Progress

Could your child benefit from additional support to build momentum toward important developmental goals? Infinity & Beyond’s Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational (OT) Therapy Intensives are designed to help your child make meaningful progress in a short period of time.

Built on the principle that children learn best through repeated, goal-directed practice, intensive therapy is a concentrated approach designed to create measurable change in how your child’s body and brain work together.

What Are Pediatric Therapy Intensives?

During childhood, your child’s brain and body are still growing and developing. Because of this, repeated, intentional practice can have a powerful impact on how your child moves, learns, and builds new skills. Therapy Intensives are short-term programs designed to take advantage of this important stage of development.

Instead of spacing therapy sessions over several weeks, intensives are highly focused programs designed to take advantage of neuroplasticity. This is how your child’s brain can learn and build new skills, through the right kind of repeated practice. Or, more simply: by practicing the same movements in a focused way, your child’s brain begins to recognize those patterns and use them more consistently in everyday life.

What Our Intensive Therapy Program Includes

Each intensive is fully customized to your child’s needs and includes:

  • Two hours of combined PT and OT each day for four consecutive days
  • An individualized treatment plan based on your child’s strengths and needs
  • Pre- and post-program assessments to track progress
  • Collaborative goal-setting with your family
  • Parent coaching and home strategies to support continued growth

Who Is a Candidate for Intensive Therapy?

Intensives are an excellent option if your child is working toward a specific milestone or could benefit from an extra boost to build new skills. This program may also be helpful for children experiencing:

  • Developmental delays
  • Cerebral palsy or neuromuscular conditions
  • Genetic conditions affecting development
  • Low muscle tone (hypotonia)
  • Sensory processing challenges
  • Birth-related injuries
  • Challenges with motor planning & coordination

Because sessions are delivered in a condensed format, your child has less opportunity to return to old movement patterns. This allows them to build new skills more effectively over time.

Our Approach to Intensive Therapy

Our intensive program uses repetition and carefully guided movement to help your child practice skills in a way their brain can learn and retain. Over time, this helps their body respond more consistently and with better control. During each session, your child isn’t just “doing exercises.” Each activity is carefully chosen to target how their body moves, responds, and builds new skills. Our licensed therapists use proven techniques tailored to your child’s unique journey:

  • MNRI®: Focuses on reflexes through a combination of hands-on techniques and motor planning to help your child develop better coordination between their brain and body, so they can respond more naturally to movement and position changes.
  • Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT): Guides your child through functional movement patterns using specialized equipment to improve postural control and help carry those movements into skills like sitting, crawling, and standing.
  • Total Motion Release (TMR): Addresses areas of tightness by gently working with your child’s natural movement patterns, helping their body move more freely without discomfort.
  • TheraTogs: A specialized strapping system used during therapy to support alignment and postural control, which helps your child stay in better alignment during movement so they can practice skills more successfully.

The Long-Term Benefits for Your Child

After completing the PT & OT Intensive program, families often notice improvements such as:

  • Stronger muscles and better endurance for everyday play
  • Better coordination and greater control of body movements
  • Greater ability to handle sensory input
  • More independence with dressing, eating, and self-care
  • Increased confidence when playing and interacting with peers
